Sliding Closet Doors in Orange County, CA — Panel, Louver, Flush & Shaker

Looking for sliding closet doors for your bedroom or hallway closet in Orange County, CA? Interior Door & Closet Company builds custom panel, louver, flush, and shaker bypass doors to fit your exact opening — no cutting down stock sizes, no gaps, no bottom track to trip over or vacuum around.

Every door is measured in your home, built at our Huntington Beach facility, and installed in one day. We've been doing exactly this for 20 years — family-owned since 2006. If you want mirrored closet doors instead, we build those too.

Panel doors bring a classic or shaker look that matches your interior doors. Louver doors ventilate your closet, keeping clothes fresh — a favorite for coastal Orange County homes. Flush doors give a clean, modern slab look at the best price point. Shaker panels are the most-requested style in modern-traditional remodels across Newport, Irvine, and Mission Viejo — current without being trendy.

Almost any door style on our site can be built as a sliding closet door. If you see a hinged door in the gallery that you want as a bypass, we'll build it that way. Call (714) 895-5100 or schedule a free consultation.

Bypass, Bifold, or Hinged?

Configuration How it WorksBest For
Bypass (sliding) Two or more panels slide past each other on a top or bottom track. You can only see half the closet at a time.Bedroom closets in tight rooms. Most common in OC tract homes.
Top-hung bypassPanels hang from a top track only. No bottom track to vacuum around. Quieter and smoother than bottom-rolling. Modern remodels. Anyone tired of tripping on bottom tracks.
BifoldTwo panels per side, hinged together, folding to one corner.Narrower openings where you want full access but can't fit a swing-out hinged door.
Hinged (swing-out)Traditional hinges. You see the entire closet at once. Walk-in entries, master closets, large bedrooms with floor space for the swing.
Floor-to-ceiling sliding Bypass panels that run from floor to ceiling instead of standard 80-inch door height.Floor-to-ceiling closets, modern builds, dramatic visual impact.

If you don't know which one you want, that's normal. We measure during the consult and tell you which configuration will actually work in your room, not just whichever option is biggest.

Finish Options

Painted. Any color. We finish the doors in our Huntington Beach facility before installation, so they arrive ready to hang. No paint smell, no drop cloths in your bedroom.

Stain-grade. Solid wood, stained to match your existing interior doors or trim. Maple, oak, alder, walnut. White semi-gloss. The most common choice. We use a paint that's about four times harder than typical latex. Dent- and scratch-resistant.

Custom. If you can describe it, we can probably do it. Bring a paint chip or a photo to the consult

How the Install Works

  1. Free consultation, 30 to 60 minutes. Owner Stephen or one of our designers (Gabe, Joey) measures your openings, shows samples, and explains options. You'll leave with an itemized written estimate.

  2. We build off-site. Once you approve, we cut, sand, prime, sand again, and paint your doors at our Huntington Beach facility. Usually 1 to 2 weeks. This is the labor-intensive part, and the reason our installations are clean and quick.

  3. One-day install. Ricky, Carlos, and Tino arrive at the scheduled time, remove your old doors and tracks, install the new system, vacuum the closet floor, and walk you through how to operate them before they leave. Most jobs are done in a single afternoon.

Most full-bedroom closet door projects run between $3,000 and $4,000, depending on opening size, style, and quantity. We don't run discounts or seasonal sales. The price you get at the consult is the price.
